Wniebogłosy - Generator Malta
A sound intervention/sound installation in the soundscape of the city using the famous architectural relic of Poznań – the Okrąglak building, located in the city centre, as a sound generator and an interactive acoustic organ medium consisting of 48 air horns installed on its famous observation deck. The sound generated by the use of air horns located on the balustrade of the building’s terrace is transmitted live with microphones to the phenomenal 3-way staircase, where the 8-channel speaker system is located and where the audience follows to see the view from the famous terrace/observation point closed to visitors for the last 7 years. By combining the sound sphere of acoustics inside the building with sound events caused by the interference of the audience on the roof, we observe a specific phenomenon of the loop, planned by the artist, containing, on the one hand, a sonic intervention in the sound tissue of the city, and on the other, a specific 8-hour composition created live by the soundscape of the city, acoustics of the building and the audience.
